Director of Photography

As director of photography, he has signed over a hundred feature and television films, all directed by major Italian and American directors.
He has worked in the series produced by Lux Vide (inspired by the characters of the Bible) and in the series “Imperium” about the major characters of Roman history.
He has made several documentaries for the Istituto Luce, including: “Civiltà nuragiche” (rewarded at the Dublin Festival), the series “Le cento città” (six of them winners of the Quality Award), “Tuareg” (winner of the Prix Italia) and the series “Nel mare degli antichi”, “Nell’anno dell’Etrusco” and “Tiziano”, “Lorenzetti.”
He has made industrial films for various Ministries and music videos for Italian singers (Branduardi, Bennato, the Dhamm, Elio e le storie tese).
He has worked in the TV series “Elisa di Rivombrosa”, “Carabinieri”, “Il Commissario Rex” and “Don Matteo”.
Among his most recent films: “La meglio gioventù”, “Giovanni Paolo II”, “The life aquatic”, “Giulietta e Romeo” (by Carlo Carlei).
